India to get Motorola XT615 in January?

Motorola loyalists in India can look forward to the manufacturer’s latest offering. The mid-range Motorola XT615 will most likely hit Indian shores in the beginning of the New Year. The smartphone is already available in Taiwan

Motorola has launched its new XT615 Android smartphone in Taiwan, and word on the web is that the device will be making its way to the Indian market sometime in January. The news comes from The Mobile Indian who further reports that the device would have a price tag of 17,500 INR.

The Motorola XT615 is a mid-ranges slim smartphone from the company which runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is powered by an 800 MHz processor. Topped over Android is the new Moto Switch UI and it has a thin 9.5mm frame. It sports a 4-inch display, 6 megapixel camera with LED flash and it supports 3G WiFi and GPS connectivity.
This seems a surprisingly good smartphone, but there is one disappointment and that is the underrated processor, when compared to other mid-range smartphones in the market. Regardless, the smartphone feel neat however we can only know better once we have it in our hands.
